New Access Platform in New Haven, CT

installed access platform

An access platform is the perfect rooftop addition when looking for a safe and cost effective solution that allows workers to easily access rooftop equipment. The high strength steel framing provides the necessary support and the heavy-duty recycled rubber bases allow for a no-penetration installation on any rooftop.

Because of their modual design and ability to customize the unit to meet customer needs, an access platform is a no brainer. They can be easily assembled with a single wrench right on the job-site which eliminates the need for cutting, welding and rigging.

A Custom Design For an Ivy League School

Our team of project managers and engineers were recently tasked with designing and installing a custom access platform for an Ivy League college in New Haven, CT. The custom side access platform utilized recycled rubber bases, Sikla Framo 80 framing, plank grating and a custom Unistrut stair and hand railing system.

The platform was 56 feet long, 4 feet wide and 5 feet above the rooftop surface. Railings were located on the long and short side of the platform and 6 stair treads were used on the short side for easy platform access. The custom design fit perfectly along side the rooftop equipment, allowing maintenance works to easily access the equipment when needed.
