Rooftop Support Systems recently completed a project involving four custom access platforms a roof ladder. These platforms were specifically designed to withstand high winds, while also providing access to rooftop HVAC units requiring routine maintenance.
Rooftop Support Systems was recently contacted by a major US car manufacturer in regards to some obstacles they were encountering on the roof of one of their manufacturing facilities. A significant portion of the roof was covered with pipe and electrical conduit, making it difficult to move new equipment in to place. These obstructions were also a safety hazard for workers performing routine maintenance on rooftop equipment. RTS was able to recommend the perfect solution to their problem. We provided the customer with a total of 10 crossover ramps, allowing for safe access of both workers and machinery.
As solar energy systems continue to expand across commercial, industrial, and even residential rooftops, the infrastructure used to manage and protect electrical components is more important now than ever before! A key component of that infrastructure is the cable tray support system, which plays a vital role in organizing, protecting, and supporting the complex network of wiring in a solar installation.

Rooftop Support Systems recently had the opportunity to design and implement a custom access platform for a customer based in Baltimore. The intention behind the access platform was to provide maintenance crews with safe and easy access to service air handlers for the building. The surrounding area was narrow and had several obstacles we had to design around. The air handlers were located several feet off the ground, so a fixed ladder had to be included in the design. The platform was constructed primarily from RTS’s Heavy Duty Modular Square Framing (HDMS), which is known for its adjustability and efficiency.
